What’s the feeling of having a FREE RANGE RABBIT

Rabbits, the most adorable animals on this planet, are one of the popular house pets in HK and around the globe. However, I find most of the rabbit owners keep them in cages. A decent size cage is good but a bunny cannot live in a cage forever. If their owners have given them a nano house, that’s going to kill them. So how does it feel to keep Hunter free-ranged?

1. WE ARE CLOSELY BONDED

Unlike other caged house rabbits, Hunter sleeps with me all the time. This increases the interaction between owners and their rabbits making a strong bonded relationship. Hunter loves to sleep in my bed during day or night. I know you may wonder if he pees or poops in my bed, he does sometimes, but now he’s a grown-up in the rabbit world and these accidents are dramatically decreased.

2. HUNTER ISN’T SMELLY

Hunter cleans himself 24/7. He’s a clean freak. Plus, he’s not standing in a cage filled with faeces all day long, so you can’t even smell anything from Hunter, except when he’s enjoying a meal from the other end.

3. HE IS NOT A RABBIT

A free-ranged rabbit isn't like any normal pet rabbits you can find in a pet shop or adoption centre. They are like a mixture of dogs and cats. Basically, My HUNTER, for example, he runs and sniffs around the house all day long like a dog, but he sometimes acts like a cold-blooded cat, just saying LEAVE ME ALONE, HAHA.

4. HE IS CURIOUS AND ACTIVE

Hunter is packed with curiosity. He likes to explore my house and play around with anything, from a toy teddy bear to a shoe. Anything he reaches, he can play with it. What's so good about having a free-ranged rabbit than a caged one is that they can play with you and they are energetic. I find most of the caged rabbits either sick and sleepy or sitting there all day like a statue. But Hunter is a naughty boy, he even jumped onto my keyboard when im typing this blog. It's pure joy to have him around, so much fun.

5. HE IS DESTRUCTIVE

As I said he likes to explore, every time he tries to PLAY with something, that's either biting it or biting it, HAHA. Up til now, I've replaced so many iPhone charging lines, my sofa, my printer, my wifi and so many bedsheets. So, if you want a free-ranged house rabbit, please check out my next blog about bunny proofing. It's so so so important, otherwise, prepare your money for infinite furniture replacements.

There you have it. Overall, I will say having HUNTER is definitely the best thing and the happiest thing in my life. I do recommend you to get a free-ranged rabbit. It's pure joy, haha.
